大家好 (Hello Everyone)! Welcome to my travel blog, “Journey to the East.” This blog takes its name from the Chinese novel The Journey to West, which is considered to be one of the greatest novels of Classical Chinese literature. The story– which was written in the 15th century– is an epic with a fairly complicated plot which spans at least 4 volumes, and has scores of characters. In this sense, “Journey to the East” is a nod to this, more famous tale of discovery and adventure. I’ll be blogging throughout the year as I live and work as an English teacher in the city of Ji’nan, China and I travel throughout the country. I hope you’ll follow along.
